Serving breakfast and lunch all day, The Brass Compass Cafe caters to "townies" and tourists alike. Known for their Titanic Omelets, so loaded - they sunk the ship, "seaweed" omelets, & lobster omelets. There are new specials daily. Check out the extensive menu. Fixing huge hot/cold sandwiches, The Brass Compass Cafe can prepare box lunches and box breakfasts for working fishermen & lobstermen, day-sailors, campers, and picnickers. The restaurant can also cater your wedding.

Lynn Archer, ownerA local Spruce Head Island girl, Lynn Archer, owner, chief cook and bottle washer opened the restaurant 2 years ago, when she felt people were looking for traditional home-cooked meals & more value for their money. Lynn has been cooking for 30 years and was a Food Service Coordinator for the State for 10 years, when she decided it was time to go on her own. She had a five-year business plan, when she bought the old pool hall to turn into a restaurant. The renovation and remodeling was quickly done. She exceeded her goals in the first year. Lynn says, "We don't cut corners, we use only fresh ingredients from local purveyors. There is an open kitchen, you can see the food being prepared, just like at home."

Bon Apetit Magazine recommends the "lobster club sandwich."
The Brass Compass is the place to go for homey, traditional Maine fare.
